President Hamdallah participates in the annual conference of the Association of Arab Universities' Presidents
President Rami Hamdallah participated in the annual conference of the Association of Arab Universities' Presidents held in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from 11 to 16 April 2008. The conference was hosted by Prince Naif University for Security Sciences.
President Hamdallah was elected as the Chair of the Membership Committee in the Association. The mission of the Committee is to recommend policies, procedures, and strategies for enhancing the membership in the Association and ensuring a growing and vital membership in the Association.
"The Conference has been an opportunity, right and great, to communicate between the heads of Arab universities, and to discuss possible ways to strengthen and develop cooperation with each other,” President Hamdallah said. “This conference, held in one of the leading Saudi universities, emphasized the development of the level of higher education in the Arab World,” he noted.
President Hamdallah also stressed on the importance of cooperation between Arab universities to improve higher education programs and educational outputs that contribute to achieving Arab comprehensive development plans. President Hamdallah added that participants in the conference also discussed potentilas for cooperation between Arab universities in order to improve the quality of higher universities education in the Arab World.
