President Hamdallah named a trustee of Palestine International Award for Excellence and Creativity
President Rami Hamdallah has been appointed as a trustee of "Palestine International Award for Excellence and Creativity" alongside Dr. Abdel Malik Jaber, Dr. Mamdoh Al Akir, Dr. Abdel Rahman Tamimi, Ms. Rana Jadallah, Mr. Mutawakil Taha, Mrs. Maha Abu Shoshe. and Ghassan Inbtawi. The prestigious Award is granted to Palestinian and international figures for their creativity and positive contributions to the Palestinian society.
The Award is given to individuals or institutions that have gained international and national recognition through major breakthroughs and who have made a major and positive impact on the Palestinian society in the various areas of sustainable human development. In 2007 three international figures received the Award: Mr. James Wolfensohn, former president of the World Bank and former representative of the international quartet for Middle East peace; Mr. Peter Hansen, former director of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA); and Dr. Ahmad Muhammad Ali, president of the Islamic Development Bank.
