President Rami Hamdallah discussed ways of academic and cultural cooperation with a delegation from the city of Lille in France comprising of the deputy mayor and senior officials from the city council.  President Hamdallah briefed the French delegation on the University's establishment, disciplines, and academic programs.President Hamdallah said that strengthening France-Palestine exchanges and cooperation will help people from both countries learn from each other, and promote mutual understanding and friendship as well as a sound and stable development of the bilateral relations.An-Najah has already established relationships with several academic institutions in the city of Lille, ranging from student exchange programs to faculty collaborative agreements.
"We seek deeper collaborations between An-Najah's Faculty of Medicine and the Teaching Hospital and the health and academic institutions in the city of
Lille, whose friendship with the city of Nablus has a long history and a bright future,” President Hamdallah added.
Lille's deputy mayor said that the objective of the visit is to develop institutional contacts and relationships between the city of Nablus and Lille
as well as to promote ties of friendship between citizens of the two cities.  He added that the best way to further these relationships is through educational, cultural, and economic relationships and cooperation.
