President Rami Hamdallah received today His Excellency Mr. Ramon Ansoain, the Spanish Cosul General in Jerusalem, to  discuss opportunities for future collaboration.

Prof. Hamdallah said that we are at An-Najah are honored to receive a visit from such a distinguished member of the Spanish government.  "An-Najah continues to be a national leader in higher education and scholarship in Palestine across many disciplines and we are very proud of that role," he said.
"It is part of our mission at An-Najah as a leading University in Palestine to foster and strengthen international relations with universities and countries around the world," Prof. Hamdallah emphasized.

Mr. Ansoain hailed the Palestinian-Spanish ties in various fields and highlighted the importance of developing them, mainly in academic fields.  During the meeting Prof. Hamdallah and Mr. Ansoain also discussed the means to strengthen academic cooperation between An-Najah and Spanish universities.

During his visit, which also included a visit to the University's New Campus, Mr. Ansoain gave a lecture entitled 'Spanish Foreign Policy: The Future of Cooperation."  A lively Q&A session took place following the Consul's talk, which was attended by a large audience of scholars and students from the Faculty of Law.
