On July 8th President Rami Hamdallah received Mr. Brendan McSharry, the new director of British Council in the Palestinian Territories.  President Hamdallah wished him success in his new position.  At the meeting the present state of bilateral relations between An-Najah and the British Council and their prospects were discussed.
They aslo discussed the possibilities of cooperation between the higher education institutions in United Kingdom and An-Najah National University.  The new director thanked President Hamdallah for his cordial reception.  Mr. McSharry was briefed on the University's various academic programmes and was taken on a tour to the various facilities in the New Campus including the Sport Complex.
