A Photos Gallery of the Graphic Novels workshop, held at the Faculty of Fine Arts at An-Najah National University, was opened at the University.  The gallery is part of a cooperation program between the University and Project Hope in Nablus under the title "Graphics Novel of Nablus."  The Canadian Artist Rebecca Cooks and her assistants held a course for a group of the Faculty's students in which she focused on showing an event or theme through expressive paintings in a developed artistic style.<o:p></o:p>

The gallery was opened on Tuesday with the presence of Dr. Hasan N'erat, Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Director of Project Hope in Nablus, Mr. Abdul-Hakim Sabbah, a number of international delegations, instructors and students.  The event witnessed a wide coverage by local and international media networks.<o:p></o:p>

Dr. N'erat talked about the workshop's importance for participating students and exhibited works.  He also thanked Project Hope and Ms. Rebecca Cooks for holding such a workshop at the Faculty of Fine Arts.  He also wished the continuation of this cooperation in the future.<o:p></o:p>

Mr. Sabbah talked about the Project Hope's mission which seeks to promote Palestinians through focusing on cultural and artistic matters.  Ms. Cooks, in her turn, talked about the cooperation that the students have showed.  She said that students are creative with great potentials and artistic abilities.  She also said that these works will be printed in a book which will be distributed in Canada and Palestine.   At the end of the opening, Dr. N'erat presented a symbolic gift from the students' works to the artist Cook in appreciation for her efforts.<o:p></o:p>
