Staff members from the Poison Control and Drug Information Center (PCDIC) at the university visited the site of the children's summer educational camp affiliated with the Red Crescent Society. The University in general and the PCDIC in particular have been working together with the Red Crescent Society to increase the knowledge and raise the awareness amongst the youth. Dr. Ansam Sawalha; Head of the PCDIC, and Dr. Hashem Shouli; Head of the organizing committee, and many other supervisors and volunteers were among those who were present at the campsite. Dr. Sawalha gave a lecture regarding important issues that may come up during their everyday lives. Issues such as the ability to identify poisons around them, information on how poisoning occurs and how to prevent it, at the end Dr. Sawalha thanked the organizing committee for the summer camp. In his turn, Dr. Shouli thanked the University and the PSDIC for its involvement in the society and requested more lectures regarding health issues.
