Palestinian youth campaign against pornography
On Tuesday 11 February the Youth Campaigners against Surfing Porn Sites in Palestine at An-Najah University, launched a campaign, with its partner, Hadara Electronic Services, in the Zafer Auditorium, Old Campus. Campaigners aimed to raise awareness of the dangers of using pornographic websites and the effects they have on the health and psychology of society.
University professors, students and representatives of the various students’ parties joined the campaigners in participating in the event, which looked at the dangers of porn sites. The Dean of Students Affairs Mr. Mousa Abu Dayeh congratulated the campaigners on their launch and the positive role it would play in both the community and wider Palestinian society.
The Campaign organisers expressed their thanks to the Deanship of Students Affairs and Hadara in support of the Campaign. They particularly wanted to thank Hadara for their sponsorship of the event which included a free month’s subscription to Hadara services for attendees.
The Youth Campaign against Surfing Porn Sites in Palestine stated their determination to move forward with their awareness raising campaign, and announced that next week a series of seminars and exhibitions entitled “Electronic Poisons in An-Najah University” will be held.
