The Community Service Center, in collaboration with the Optics Department of An-Najah University, and the Women’s Organization of Deir Al-Hattab, organized a volunteering health day to test the eyesight of children from the village, from ages 3-5 years old. The team was made up of optics specialists and a number of students and volunteers from the center. The tests were focused on detrmining whether or not the children had healthy eyesight, and the volunteers gave the children information as to how to avoid contracting eye diseases from classmates and family members. Testing was conducted on 100 children, and it was found that 17 needed referrals for follow-up treatments
