On February 24^th 2010, the Public Relations Department and TEMPUS Program organized a meeting about the Program in the Conferences Hall at the Old Campus. In the meeting, Mr. Hisham Qaddumi from TEMPUS delivered a presentation about the Program and the projects it offers. Attended the meeting were a number of faculties' deans, teaching staff, and directors of the scientific centers at the University who were provided by the necessary information that will enable them to present their projects to the Program, as well as having their questions answered.

It is worth mentioning here that TEMPUS is a program funded by the European Union which began in 2007 and lasts until 2013. The Program targets higher education institutions in 27 partner countries and finances joint projects in various fields such as opening new programs and developing existing ones in the fields of administrative systems employed in different departments in the educational institution. Moreover, TEMPUS contributes to the reinforcement of the relationship between the University and the society's governmental and non-governmental organizations through offering projects annually.
