On November 2nd 2010, the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers IEEE-An-Najah branch in cooperation with the Engineering Communication Center at the Faculty of Engineering at An-Najah organized a video conference with the British-Palestinian researcher and engineer, Tareq Said, at Cambridge University in the United Kingdom. Attendees included students from the Faculty of Engineering at An-Najah, especially from the departments of Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering.
 
The video conference discussed Aerospace Engineering and its various fields. Said spoke about two research work in which he participated regarding the development of a brand new environmentally friendly civil plane. He also explained the many obstacles and challenges that hinder the development of exchange relationships between Palestinian universities and Cambridge due to current situations on ground.
 
 
Therefore, the lecture was a vital step towards the develop students' knowledge regarding aerospace engineering; especially that such specialization is not available at the Palestinian universities. The lecture aimed to develop relationships with distinguished students from renowned universities and bring local students closer to some of the leading minds in the field of engineering around the world.
 
Dr. Nabil Dmaidi, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at An-Najah, thanked Engineer Said for his efforts in preparing the presentation on aerospace engineering which aimed to introduce An-Najah students to the latest developments in this field. Dr. Ahmed Al-Ramahi, Head of the Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering Departments at An-Najah, mentioned that students of mechanical and mechatronics engineering at An-Najah possess outstanding abilities and potentials and enjoy creative skills that would enable them to compete both locally and regionally.
 
At the end of the lecture, students exchanged ideas with Said and received answers to their questions regarding the subject of the meeting.
