January 23rd. A seminar titled “Working with People with Hearing and Visual Disability” was organized at the Conferences Room at An-Najah University’s Faculty of Medicine in cooperation with the Pro Terra Sancta, ATS (A non-governmental charitable organization of the Custody of the Holy Land), the Catholic University of Milan, as well as the International Federation of Medical Students-Nablus Branch. The seminar addressed the issue of working with people with hearing and visual disability.

 

Rita Sidoli, a Professor of Special Education at the Catholic University of Milan lectured at the seminar on the latest research and studies that have been conducted on how to work and deal with people with hearing and visual disabilities.

A number of representatives of several institutions that work with people with disability, in addition to a number of students attended the seminar. Dr. Rami Zagha, Vice Dean for Basic Biomedical Sciences Phase at An-Najah also attended the seminar.

 

Dr. Sami Basha from the Faculty of Education at Hebron University introduced a summary about the importance of such seminars in developing the means by which specialists can deal effectively and properly with people with special needs.
