In cooperation between the Public Relations Department and the Bethlehem Institute for Music, a concert was prepared at the theatre of the University. Mr Piotr Puchta, Representative of the Republic of Poland to the Palestinian National Authority attended the concert as well as the University President and Salim Zughbi, Head of the Bethlehem Academy of Music.
Mr. Saed Abu Hijleh, Director of the Public Relations Department said that the hosting of this concert comes as an effort to communicate with other cultures and to increase understanding in the field of art and music with the people of the rest of the world. The concert was performed by the Bromberga Quartet which played a variety of classical pieces which were highly appreciated by the audience.
Prof. Rami Hamdallah, the University President said that the university will host and support other cultural activities in order to enable our people to live their life as normal as possible and to be able to pass our message of peace to other nations despite the current hardships Palestine faces. Prof. Hamdallah also presented the Polish Representative and the choir with several Palestinian traditional gifts.
