An-Najah signed a Memoranda of Understanding (MOU) with ASAL Technologies which embodies the spirit of constructive cooperation between An-Najah and the company, through establishing a company branch in the University campus in the field of software development, student training and investment in promising projects. The branch will be located within the Korean Palestinian IT Institute (KPITIE).

The Acting President of An-Najah Professor Maher Natsheh and General Manager of ASAL Mr. Murad Tahboub, signed the agreement, committing to cooperation and partnership.

Professor Natsheh welcomed the ASAL delegation and thanked them on making this unique step which will lay the foundations of cooperation between Palestinian universities and the private sector. Professor Natsheh also talked about the University and its accomplishments and efforts to keep up with the demands of the local community and market. Mr. Murad Tahboub, in turn, expressed his thanks to An-Najah for cooperating with the institutions of the private sector and passed on the administrative board well wishes, represented by the Chair of the Board Mr. Bashar Al-Masri.

Mr. Tahboub stressed the importance of cooperation between the private sector and the higher education institutions, noting their contribution to the development of the field of technology and therefore the compatibility of graduates’ skills with the private sector requirements, embedded within the practical training programmes. He went on to state that ASAL is dedicated to the service of Palestinian society and reaching out to them in all places. Furthermore, he said this cooperation manifests the company policy regarding social responsibility as it will allow access to qualified Palestinians.

In turn Mr. Barham, Director of the KPITIE, assured the readiness of the Institute to host the ASAL branch and their full commitment to liaising with them to carry out its aims successfully.

The signing was attended by Dr Mohammad Hanoon, Vice President for Administrative Affairs, Mr. Khalid Barham, Director of the (KPITIE), Mr. Rasheed Kukhun, Director of Finance, and Mr. Khaled Mufleh, Acting Director of Public Relations, from An-Najah in addition to Mr. Ahmad Al-Hasan, Director of Finance at ASAL, and Mr. Nash’at Al-Ramunie, Sales and marketing Manager at ASAL.
  2. The cooperation will focus on the field of technology, software development, student training and fostering pioneers, especially in the northern governorates, through the establishment of a company branch in the Korean Palestinian IT Institute (KPITIE) located on the New Campus.
