A meeting brought together 25 directors from various academic departments in the Training Hall of An-Najah University’s Community Service Center. The meeting was centered on the schedule and set-up of the tutoring program for disadvantaged students in Nablus. This was conducted in collaboration with the school board and private parent committees. The director of the Community Service Center, Dr. Bilal Salameh, highlighted the importance of the meeting, since it facilitates the opportunity for a larger dialogue between the program's volunteer team, the school directors, and the teachers, which will in turn allow for clarity in identifying the weaknesses and strengths of the program, in order to improve consistently and focus on goals and results. The main premises of the program rest on community involvement, psychological support, and behavioral training, while keeping in mind the economic, familial and political context of the students' atmosphere. In the meeting, there were long discussions concerning all aspects of the program and the possibilities for improvement and expansion. The school directors expressed their opinions on the positive role played by the Community Service Center and the tutoring program in decreasing the dropout rate of young students, by supporting them psychologically and socially so that they remain enrolled. One key issue that was raised was the necessity to emphasize the Right to Education for all children and building a future for their benefit
