Jordanian Ambassador visits An-Najah
On Tuesday 4 March, Professor Maher Natsheh, Acting President of An-Najah received the Jordanian Ambassador to the Palestinian State, his Excellency Mr. Khaled Shawabkeh. Mr. Shawabkeh visited An-Najah amongst other institutions in Nablus accompanied by Mr. Hussam Hijjawi, Chairman of the Nablus Chamber of Commerce and a number of its members.
Prof. Natsheh welcomed Mr. Shawabkeh and the accompanying delegates to An-Najah University and briefed them on its history and achievements, highlighting it most recent notable achievements. He also introduced the different academic programmes offered by the university, which supplies the local and regional markets with professional workers.
Prof. Natsheh also thanked the Jordanian Ambassador for his visit, the valued efforts of King Abdullah and the Jordanian people in supporting the Palestinian cause and the Palestinian right to a free State. He went on to praise the mutual cooperation between the two peoples on all levels.
His Excellency in turn thanked An-Najah for receiving him and applauded the patriotic role it plays in producing an educated, qualified and skillful generation, noting that An-Najah is a university of dinstinction of a par with its international competitors.
The Ambassador also visited the An-Najah Training hospital and met with its administration and visitied its different departments. He expressed his gratitude for the medical services it provides and admiration for the high standards of medical care.
