Hisham Hijjawi College of Technology Celebrates its 7th Commencement Graduation
The University celebrated its seventh Commencement of Hisham Hijjawi College of Technology’s students, with the presence of Mr. Nasser Alool, Secretary General of the College, Dr. Shaker Bitar, Vice President for Administrative Affairs, Dr. Muhammad Hanoon, Vice President for Community Affairs, Dr. Ghassan Hilo, Dean of Hisham Hijjawi College, Mr. Ashraf Quraish, Dean’s Assistant, Mr. Musa Abu Dayyeh, Dean of Students Affairs, families and students.
A number of representatives of public and official institutions and a number of the members of the Board of Trustees at the University attended the ceremony, too. The ceremony was held at the College premises, and it began with the entrance of the pageant of the graduates, followed by the pageant of the academic staff, and finally the pageant of the Administration Council and the Dean of the Faculty. The ceremony began with the national anthem of Palestine.
In his speech, Mr. Alool said that "we are honored by your presence at our college, on this day that is dear to our hearts, a day of production and a day of graduation and harvest of two years work. Hereby, I present our congratulations to the graduates and their families."
On the level of the College, he said that the faculty and staff has accomplished a great advancement through distinctive efforts and valuable partnership between Hisham Hijjawi Scientific Foundation and An-Najah National University. He added that the College has qualified trainers who have scientific experience that reflected positively on the competence and performance of the graduates in the business market.
He also emphasized the importance of technical training and education in Palestine, which is a great deal to many institutions in this arena as Hisham Hijjawi Foundation is funding the College financially.
Dr. Hilo, in his remarks, welcomed the guests to the commencement ceremony and congratulated the graduates on their success, wishing them all success at their career life. Dr. Hilo also talked about the success of the College in technical and vocational education in Palestine, and the need to meet the needs of the community through technical and vocational experiences.
Dr. Hilo thanked the University's Administration and the College's Administration Council for their support to the programs offered as well as all local and international institutions for their cooperation and support. The ceremony included musical interludes and distributing certificates to top students and graduates.
