An-Najah National University’s Sport Complex was inaugurated today by HE. President Mahmoud Abbas (Abu Mazen), HE. Mr. Salah Al Masri, Chairman of the University’s Board of Trustees, and Prof. Rami Hamdallah, the University’s President.  The event was also attended by several Ministers from Palestinian National Authority and some of the University’s senior officials.

President Abbas praised An-Najah’s work and care for higher education development in Palestine. He had a tour of the new Sports Complex.
On the occasion of the inauguration of the Sport Complex, President Hamdallah deems it remarkable that this big sports facility has been completed and commissioned at An-Najah.  It has come in due time to develop sport activity in Palestine.
An-Najah’s students will be able to train there and spend time to their benefit, said President Hamdallah.  “A great opportunity has been created here for cultivating new sport starts and sporting traditions in Palestine,” President Hamdallah added.He said that the Sports Complex is another example of the holistic vision of An-Najah, whereby it seeks to create a nice environment for its student community and Palestinian people. The opening of the new up-to-date sports complex will give a powerful impetus to the development of sport in Palestine, too.The new Sports Complex is a unique facility in the West Bank.  It is equipped with swimming pools, and tennis court amongst others.  It is possible to hold not only nation-wide but also international events in more than four types of sport there.
