On April 7^th 2010, University President, Prof. Rami Hamdallah, received in his office at the Old Campus Dr. Hussein Al-Araj, Governor of Hebron.

Prof. Hamdallah welcomed Dr. Al- Araj and thanked him for his honorable visit. On his part, Dr. Al-Araj congratulated the President for the impressive ranking that the University has received recently by the Webometrics which ranked it first in Palestine and tenth in the Arab world from among 18,000 universities in the world.

He also said that this achievement reflects the hard work that the President and the staff at the University are carrying out in order to keep it in the lead as one of the best universities locally and regionally. He also thanked Prof. Hamdallah for his continuous support of the educational process and the students, which eventually led the University to take a pride-of-place position among other universities.
