Hala Al-Shakhshir, student at the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at An-Najah, participated in the International Academy for Leadership’s conference which is held annual in Germany. Hala was nominated by the International Youth Exchange Program (Zajel) and supported by the Friedrich Naumann Foundation in Germany.

The conference continued for two weeks in which Hala joined other students from different countries. In the conference, the participants were introduced to the different policies and regulations, the mechanisms of decision-making, in addition to the role of youth in solving social issues and problems.

Hala reported that her meeting with students from other countries has enabled her to get acquainted with the culture and tradition of others; this has, in her opinion, led to reinforcement of cultural exchange between Palestinians and other people around the globe.

Moreover, she thanked the University and the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for giving her the chance to participate in such event which enabled for more communication and the conveying of the Palestinians’ voice to the world.
