Today at An-Najah National University's New Campus, a graduation ceremony was held for the graduates of the EUPOL COPPS sponsored Forensics Seminar.

The ceremony was opened by a speech from An-Najah University President Prof. Rami Hamdallah. He thanked everyone that had been involved in this seminar.

After highlighting the course that had encompassed the last two weeks, he then explained how classes are important for the police and lawyers in the West Bank as Palestine moves to become and independent state. On that same theme, he emphasized the need for diversity and neutrality in leadership while focusing on the existing institutions instead of the creation of new ones.

Other speakers included Attorney General Ahmad Al Mughani, Director of the Forensics Institute Prof. Ghassan Abu Hijleh, Dr. Zeyad Al Ashab from the Ministry of Justice and Deputy Chief of Police Colonial Jehad Al Musaemi. From the EUPOL COPPS, speakers were Christophe Lukits and Frederic Schwindt. Following the speeches, the graduates received their certificates.

An-Najah National University is very happy to have such good relations with EUPOL COPPS and looks forward to bringing this event to An-Najah again in the future.
