French Consul Opens Arts Gallery at the Fine Arts School
15 December 2003
Regis Koetschet, the French Consul in Jerusalem, opened an exhibition for the works of six artists from Gaza who could not come to Nablus due to the imposed siege. The French Consul transported their painting from Gaza, and was very generous in its support for the opening of the exhibition held at the An-Najah National University new campus.
Instructors at the Faculty of Fine Arts gave explanations about the work to visitors. Mr. Koetschet expressed his admiration for the work and encouraged the artists to continue their fine work. The exhibition was conducted in cooperation with the French Cultural Center in Nablus, and was very well attended.
