The Deanship of the Students Affairs and Zajel Youth Exchange Program organized a football match between the elite students of the university team and the international volunteers, belonging to a whole host of countries including: the USA, UK, Germany, Holland, Portugal, Italy, South Korea, Northern Ireland and other countries. These volunteers are currently participating in the three week international voluntary workcamp that Zajel has organized this summer.
The match resulted in a good performance by the university students, who scored three goals, while the Zajel international volunteers could only record one goal in reply. The international volunteers admired the performance by the university students and their athletic abilities.
Muhamad Hanon, the Co-ordinator of the Sports Activities at the Deanship of the Students Affairs, said that such activities empower the interaction between Palestinian youth and global youth. This activity is part of the cultural and entertainment activities that Zajel organizes to narrow the gap between Palestinian youth and their fellows overseas.
