First Class Graduates from the Educational Qualification Program
The Faculty of Educational Sciences and the National Institution for Educational Training celebrated the graduation of the first class of elementary teachers. Deputy Minister of Education Mohammad Abo Zeid, and Dr. Sami Jaber, Vice-President for Academic Affairs, presided over the ceremony.
Following the national anthem, Dr. Sami Jaber welcomed the attendees of the Ministry of Education and praised their cooperation with the university in its efforts to improve education in Palestine.
Mr. Abo Zeid then spoke, applauding the university’s leading academic role, their constant communication with the Ministry of Education in different projects and programs, and their work ensuring the success of the Educational Qualification Program.
Dr. Ali Habaieb, the project coordinator at the university, commended the graduates’ success in implementing in the classroom the competencies and skills they are trained on. He also discussed the university’s vision to continue improving teacher training.
Dr. Shahinaz Al Far, the General Director of the National Institution for Educational Training, then reviewed the evolution of this program. At the beginning it seemed difficult to achieve, but the joint efforts of the Faculty of Educational Sciences and the National Institution for Educational Training overcame the difficulties. Now the theoretical ideas have become an educational reality – the graduates have been able to apply in practice what they studied in the classroom.
On behalf of the graduates, Mr. Naser Saifi delivered a speech illustrating how the Educational Qualification Program has affected them. Mr. Saifi also thanked the National Institution for Educational Training and the Faculty of Educational Sciences for the training that the students received.
Closing the ceremony, the graduates were presented with their diplomas.
