Masar Ibrahim Al-Khalil Institution held on Thursday 27th of Dec, 2012 at the Korean-Palestinian IT Institute of Excellence, an exhibition of photography for the Faculty of Media’s students who participated at “Touristic routes for Photography at Palestine” contest, the exhibition includes more than 17 photos nominated for award, included natural scenes, wild and rural life at Palestine, the student Walaa’ Shahroor got the second rank at the contest.

Dr. Abdelkarim Sarhan, Dean of the Faculty of Media,  Mr. George Rishmawi, the Executive Manager of Masar Ibrahim Al-Khalil Institution, and Mr. Anas Halaiqa, the Coordinator of Projects at the Institution, participated in the opening of the exhibition, in addition to a number of academics at the Faculty and the students who participated in the contest.

Within the same context, Dr. Sarhan mentioned that the Faculty worked to let high-skilled photographers of students participate at Masar Ibrahim Al-Khalil Contest, in order to sharpen the students’ skills with more professionalism and craftsmen through their admixture with other universities’ students; and create a student with an aim and a mission through knowing both the history and the geography of Palestine.

 Dr Abdelkarim Sarhan added “The students approved what we’ve expected; their photos had a great discussion among the contest arbitration committee. The student Walaa’ Shahroor got the second rank at the contest, and I thank Masar Ibrahim Al-Khalil Institution for training students, and organizing the route, I also thanks the academics and the labs’ supervisors at the Faculty who enriched the students with knowledge and supervision.”

On one hand, Dr. Sarhan asked Masar Ibrahim Al-Khalil Institution to expand their activities to cover occupied Palestine before 1948 in order to achieve interaction with our people their, and on the other hand, to know the Palestinian geography.

 The visitors had a tour in the exhibition through which they had a view in the students’ photos, and at the end of the tour the students had participation certificates.
