A delegation from the Palestinian Economics Ministry and the Measurements Institute visited the University and met some of the university Professors and administrators. The delegation, including the Economics Minister, Mr. Mazen Sunukrot, was received by Prof. Maher Natsheh, Vice President for Academic Affairs; Prof. Sameer Abu Eishe, University President’s Assistant for Planning and Development Affairs; Prof. Suleiman Khalil, Coordinator of the Scientific Centers; Prof. Riyad Abdul Karim, Dean of Engineering Faculty; Prof. Saed Al-Koni, Dean of Economics Faculty and Mr. Rafi Daraghmeh, Director of the Public Relations Department.

Prof. Natsheh welcomed the guests and stressed the importance of the joint projects between the Ministries and the Palestinian Universities. Minister Sunukrot agreed on the importance of the coordination between the Palestinian universities and governmental institutions and said that the work with the Palestinian Universities was at the top of their priorities, especially with An-Najah National University. Sunukrot then attended the discussions of several graduation projects and theses from the Engineering Faculty which had achieved distinguished status this year. The important topics covered included a project presented by three students of the Civil Engineering Department , talking about the route connecting Gaza with the West Bank. The Minister participated in the debate, discussed with the students about their work and expressed his admiration for this project and all the other projects An-Najah University has been undertaking in order to benefit the society.

The Engineering Faculty is preparing a fair to be held at the end of June for newly graduated students looking for jobs. They will exhibit all the graduation projects designed and prepared by students this year.
