The Geography Department hosted a lecture by Dutch expert Jan De Jong, a specialist in Palestinian geography, Israeli settlements and their impact on the Palestinian land. On the occasion of the new elections in Israel, he presented maps concerning the expansion of the settlements located throughout the Occupied Territories. Furthermore he focused on the impact the wall causes on the demographic aspect of the Palestinian community.
