Dundee Nablus Twinning Association Visited the University
A Delegation from the Dundee Nablus Twinning Association, DNTA, visited the University and met with the Director of the Public Relations Department, Dr. Nabil Alawi who briefed them on recent academic developments as well as the current situation which affects students. He discussed gaining free access through Israeli roadblocks and other obstacles which students face in the pursuit of their right to education.
The Delegation also met with Ala Yousef, the Coordinator of the Zajel Youth Exchange Program, of the Public Relations Department, who spoke about future student exchange programs and briefed his guests on the program's progress throughout the last year. It is worth mentioning that DNTA donated four computers to Zajel in order to encourage intercultural dialogue between Palestinian students and international ones. This support helps Zajel develop its projects, which aim to narrow the gap between Palestinians and internationals, as well as eliminate stereotypes some internationals have of the Palestinian people.
The Dundonean delegation's members, Andrea Ryan, Mick Ryan and Julia Droeber visited the university's new campus in order to observe the faculties which have been developed there.
