For his research on the study of the effects of Ion Chemical Activity on Conductivity of Poly (dimethelsilylene-CO-Methylphenylsilylene), Dr. Shehdeh Jodeh, from the Chemistry Department, won the Hisham Hijjawi Prize, in the 14th contest, for research in industry and energy. 107 researchers applied for the award all from Palestinian and Jordanian universities. The applicants specialized in different disciplines, such as agriculture, water, environment, industry, energy, information technology, and telecommunications.
Prof. Rami Hamdallah, the University President, said that despite the hard lives of Palestinian researchers, they still manage to conduct their research and win scientific prizes. An official festival was held in Amman for the prize winners, which was attended by officials and academics.
