Dr. Mahmoud Mustafa, Full Time Staff Member in Urology and Pediatric Urology publishes a Chapter in the “Book of Current Concept in Urethroplasty” and is granted a Recognition Award
Dr. Mahmoud Mustafa, a full time staff member specialized in Urology and Pediatric Urology, Urology Department, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at An-Najah University, published a chapter in the “Book of Current Concept in Urethroplasty” for which he has been granted a recognition award. The Chapter titled “Urethroplasty; Wide Range of Therapeutic Indications and Surgical Techniques”.
The Recognition Award was granted to Dr. Mustafa at the 9th International Arab Urology Meeting which was held on 22-24 November 2011 in Amman- Jordan. Dr. Mustafa was granted this Award in recognition of his contribution to the advancement of Urology in the Arab world.
Urethroplasty is an operation for the repair of an injury or a defect in the walls of the urethra. Commonly, this involves removal and end-to-end anastomosis for shorter strictures or grafting using buccal mucosa for longer ones.
