Dr. Bassam Abu-Shanab from the Faculty of Agriculture & Veterinary Medicine, has participated in the 2nd Public Health Conference at Al-Quds University, Abu Dei
Dr. Bassam Abu-Shanab, representing the Faculty of Agriculture & Veterinary Medicine at An-Najah National University, has participated in the 2nd Public Health Conference: “Public health in Palestine: challenges, research and implications”, held at Al-Quds University, Abu Deis on April 25th, 2013.
His research study was entitled: “Prevalence of overweight and obesity and their associations with dietary habits among students from An-Najah National University: A cross-sectional study”.
During the panel discussion and conference recommendations in the main theater Dr. Khuloud Khayyat Dajani, conference chair, thanked all the participants and particularly those of An-Najah National University. He appreciated the research on the prevalence of obesity, and encouraged for further research, taking in consideration that An-Najah University offers a Masters in Public Health for health prevention and promotion. Dr. Suleiman Alkhalil, the Faculty Dean thanked Dr. Abu-Shanab for his elegant work and participation in the conference.
