Dr. Ayman Hussein from the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at An-Najah National University won the Distinguished Research Award in Content and Delivery during the Palestinian Medical Association Conference held in Ramallah July 12^th-14^th 2012.

Dr. Hussein delivered a lecture on the Role of Factor V Leiden Mutation in Recurrent Abortion and Myocardial Infarction Among Palestinians. The study emphasized the importance of testing the gene responsible for Factor V Leiden and the necessity to take blood thinners by those who prove to have this kind of genetic mutation.
