Dr. Ansam Sawalha is Awarded First Place for Best Business Plan in the Best Business Plan Competition in Palestine
Dr. Ansam Sawalha, Director of the Poison and Drug Information Unit at the Poison, Chemical and Biological Analysis Center at An-Najah University, has been awarded first place for Best Business Plan and Best Idea in the “Best Business Plan” Competition which was organized by the Business Women Forum and the BID Network and Spark.
The Competition aims to encourage competition among leading women through training them on how to prepare business plan. More than 95 women from the different parts of the West Bank participated in the Competition and were involved in a number of stages in which they were trained on how to write and develop full business plan under the supervision of experts in the field. A number of these women were selected at the end of the training to compete in the writing of the business plan.
In the competition, the participants wrote full business plans, marketing analysis, financial statements, benefits, lost….etc. The winners of the first three places were announced in a ceremony that was held recently. Dr. Sawalha won the first place for Best Business Plan and Best Idea on her plan regarding the establishment of a specialized recycling center. Dr. Sawalha reported that her plan has been nominated to represent Palestine in the International Business Conference for developing countries which will be held later on.
The Business Women Forum (BWF) is a nonprofit organization founded in 2006 by a group of businesswomen who possess or run small and medium companies and registered under the Palestinian Authority with headquarters in Ramallah with a mission of strengthening the role of businesswomen as entrepreneurs, professionals and taxpayers in order to advance the full potential of the Palestinian economy, increase its competitiveness and promote greater social welfare throughout Palestine.
