During the first academic semester, the Office of the Deputy President for Graduate Affairs hosted a series of English language competency-development training workshops. Taught by British trainer, Lucy Dawson, and Australian trainers, Winsome McGee and Effie Logan, the workshops targeted fifty-five students who will graduate in the current academic year.  

The training workshops focused on a number of professional skills including CV writing, interviewing techniques, and professional and everyday vocabulary. In order to work on their public speaking and improve confidence, students developed presentations on a variety of topics.

The Office of the Deputy President for Graduate Affairs has graduated two cycles of students from competency-development training workshops in-cooperation with Al-Ghad Youth Institution and trainers from the U.S.

Dr. Jawad Fatayer, Deputy President for Graduate Affairs, said he was pleased with the significant student interest in these training workshops and hoped to see even more students participate in future workshops. He thanked the trainers for their efforts.
