The Department of Nursing and Midwifery at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, An-Najah University, hosted Professor Carmen Sammut from the University of Malta, Malta. Dr. Aidah Al-Kaissi, Head of the Nursing and Midwifery Department at An-Najah, received Professor Sammut and familiarized her with the teaching of nursing at the University, the curriculum and the teaching methods used.

Following her meeting with Dr. Al-Kaissi, Professor Sammut delivered a lecture titled “Researching the Gender Divide in Nursing and Midwifery in Palestine” for the fourth year Nursing and Midwifery students. Attendees to the lecture included: Mrs. Mahdyyah Al-Koni, Mrs. Fatima Hirzallah and Mr. Nizar Said.

In her lecture, Professor Sammut discussed the methods of scientific research and addressed the use of groups in research.
