A coordinative meeting was held at An Najah National University and attended by a number of governmental departments including the Director of the Department of Planning and Development in Nablus, the Director of Urban Planning in the Ministry of Local Government, the Planning Team in the Ministry, the representatives of the consultative team from An Najah National University, members of the Primary Planning Team as well as the coordinators of the specialized committees responsible for preparing the Developmental Strategic Plan in Nablus.

The goal of the meeting was to introduce the achievements concerning the preparation of the plan so far and to revise previous procedures. Coordinating the coming workshop which will include the results of the strategic analysis, the identification of the developmental issues and the developmental vision of Nablus were also presented in the meeting.

The participants focused on the importance of representing the different sectors and institutions in society within the Governorate's planning process. The Ministry of Local Government emphasized the importance of achieving high quality output and to have efficient mechanisms of follow-up for the plan’s procedures.

Moreover, the consultative team also presented the stages that have been fulfilled, and the methodology used, as well as the achieved results by the specialized committees. Finally, the participants agreed on continuing their coordination efforts and to hold bilateral meetings between the Governorate and the Ministry of Local Government in order to follow-up with the plan's preparation steps and achieve results that meet the Governorate's aims and vision.
