On Monday, November 11, 2013, An-Najah National University signed a cooperation treaty with the Palestinian Telecommunication Group (Paltel Group), under which the Palestinian Telecommunication Group funds buying medical services and equipment for An-Najah University Hospital.

The treaty was signed by Dr. Maher Natsheh, acting president of An–Najah National University; and Mr. Amar  Aker, Executive Chairman of the Palestinian Telecommunication Group; and with the presence of Dr. Hani Nabulsi, a member of the hospital board of trustees; Rashed Kukhun, Director of the University Financial Department; Dr. Sam Fuqaha, Director of the University Public Relations Department; and Emad Lahham, Director of Public Relations and Media Department, and Raed Awwad, Director of Community Responsibility in the Group, both from Paltel Group.

The treaty provides that the groups of Jawwal, Paltel, Hadara, and Reach offer the necessary supplies to buy some medical equipment and devices needed to facilitate some departments at the hospital.

Prof. Natsheh extended his thanks and appreciation to Paltel Group for funding these devices, which will contribute to the provision of the medical service for Palestinian citizens. He hoped that both sides’ cooperation proceeds to offer other support in many areas for students and the Palestinian community.

Mr. Emad Aker praised the University hospital, and expressed his pride in this medicinal building which the University supervises. In addition, Mr. Aker appraised the great role by the workers on the establishment of the hospital, as it is of great importance in serving the Palestinian community and its different sectors, and finally noted that the Group is committed to contributing to the development, advancement and progress of the Palestinian community.
