Under the Patronage of the University President, A two days conference was organized on the Role of Translation in Cultural Dialogue on the 21-22^nd October 2007. Thirty- five papers were presented on this conference, which was attended by experts from all over Palestine.
The conference aims to present the importance of translation in empowering cultural dialogue between different nations through history, from the Abbasit Age to crusaders and others up until the present.
The attendants recommended the following:

- Working harder on the cultural dialogue and paying closer attention to the translation institutes and its employees.

- The essentiality of caring more about the global efforts in the field of translation.

- Being courageous while interacting with other cultures without fearing integration.

- Establishing an institute in one of the Palestinian universities to teach translation.

- Finding a department to offer the needed translations to the Palestinian Authority.
