Conclusion of the First Course of Stock Stimulation
Palestine Security Exchange (PSE) has concluded on Sunday the activities of the first course on Stocks Simulation Program contest. A special ceremony was organized on this occasion during which the three winners were awarded. The ceremony was attended by Prof. Rami Hamdallah, Chairman of the Board of PSC and President of An-Najah National University, Mr. Ahmad Owieda, the CEO of PSE, Mr. Abdul-Majeed Milhem, the Manager of Jawwal" (Patronizer of the program), Mr. Hussam Dwikat, Director of Isra'a Software and Computer, and the Technical Developer of the program, Mr. Sufian Barghothi, Director of PSC's office in Ramallah, and with the participation of directors and representatives of brokerage firms and listed firms and instructors of the Faculties of Economics at the Palestinian universities participating in the project.

The final results were announced in the ceremony and the three first winners were named. Certificates of appreciation were distributed to the participating students, supervisors of the market laboratories in the participating universities.
Prof. Rami Hamdallah, in his remarks on behalf of all participating universities, said that universities are appreciated of the role of PSE for initiating the contest, planning and developing it in all arenas to suit reality in market. He also praised the contest experience in its first round, which enlarged experience and potentials of participating students, so that they can understand the mechanism of simulation in the Palestinian market, and other related issues.
He expressed his hope that this experience will be a motive for the students to apply what they have learnt to the reality on ground. Prof. Hamdallah said that the depth of the vision and insight of the contest seeks to build the future through an investment in human resources as it is a key element in the development process. The students are the major pillar of this future, he noted.
Prof. Hamdallah considered PSE's experience as a precedent and as a role model for all institutions in the public or private sector with a great motive to develop application programs with the universities in order to help students through connecting theory with practical reality.
Mr. Owieda expressed his hope that this will be a serious addition in terms of quality in the series of the achievements of the PSE throughout the past years. He also confirmed the importance of expanding the program in coming rounds to include all universities in Palestine. He also appreciated the initiative of the market in launching the contest that forms the first program with benefit for the Palestinian universities to train students.
On behalf of Jawwal, the Patronizer of the program, Mr. Abdul-Majeed Milhem appreciated the role of the contest to develop youth sector and the universities students. He said that comes along with the vision of Jawwal in developing youth and develop their skills. He also referred to "I'm Jawwal" campaign that the company has recently released in An-Najah National University, Arab American University of Jenin, and Al-Aqsa University in Gaza. The program, as he said, trains and encourages students to be involved in the work market through establishing sale points that students supervise themselves.
Mr. Dwikat said on his turn that the program indicates the commitment of the private sector through creating a convenient environment of investment despite all hardships. He also pointed out that the private sector will do whatever they can to provide the best program technology to service the community.
