The Poison Control and Drug Information Center concluded the activities of the 4th National Poison Prevention Week, 2009. Certificates of appreciation and participation were given to supporting authorities, institutions and participating students.

The ceremony was attended by Dr. Samir Khayyat, Director of Arab Specialists Hospital, Ms. Sali Khwaireh, Representative of Paltel Group, Dr. Hasan Na’erat, Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Mrs. Abeer Abu Hijleh from the Palestine Standards Institution, and Mr. Amjad Ibrahim of Environment Quality Institution.
During the ceremony, the Ali’mara Company for Architectural Constructions, the University's Department of Public Services, and the Security of the University;s New Campus were all honored for their support of the week.
Also, participants in the ceremony from the Faculty of Fine Arts were honored along with the presence of the Dean, Dr. Hasan Na’erat.  Mr. Jamal Bahri was honored for what he has accomplished in order to plan the exhibition. Several participant students of the Faculty of Arts, in particular Mr. Wajdi Fa’our and Osama Khudier were honored for their efforts in designing and preparing for the fair.
In conclusion, students participating from the Faculty of Pharmacy were honored for their preparation in the fair and exhibition of information throughout the week.
The fair included many booths that explained the types of toxication at home; medicines, drugs, cosmetics, agrochemicals, insecticides, and house chemicals, in addition to smoking and its many negative effects.  The fair also included many other sections on food poisoning in a number of forms together with poisoning of house plants, negative effects of wireless towers, mobiles, microwave, plastic and cooking pots, poison in house gases, air sprays, poisoning inside garages and other important issues.
Dr. Ansam Sawalheh, the Director of the Poison Control and Drug Information Center, and Dr. Waleed Swieleh, from the preparation committee for the 4th National Poison Prevention Week, submitted the certificates of appreciation.  The ceremony included the screening of a short film as well as the pictures of students and staff participating in the preparation for the event.
