The Community Service Centre’s psycho-social support team, in cooperation with “Mishwar” Voluntary group, organised a recreational activity for the Children’s Department at the Saint Luke Hospital in Nablus, to support sick children and their families.

The activities included acting, circus performance and clowns, c heering up the children and their families. A mother of one of the children spoke of the positive effects the visit had on her child.

Dr. Waleed Qarra, Director of the Saint Luke Hospital, expressed the great importance the hospital’s staff placed on this kind of psycho-social support in the healing process. He extended his gratitude for the efforts of the Community Service Centre volunteers, particularly activities such as this.

The psycho-social support team had previously organised a similar activity to the Burns Department at Rafidia Hospital, helping to aid patient recovery, while also holding a meeting with the nursing staff. Within the Children’s Department, the team has performed a number of activities on a regular basis, such as reading stories and playing games.
