Chemical, Biological, and Drugs Analysis Center (CBDA) at An Najah National University Participates in a Workshop in Turkey

Between the 16th and 20th of November 2009, the Chemical, Biological, and Drugs Analysis Center (CBDA) at An Najah National University represented by Lab Superintendent, Dr. Mohammed Abdel Qader, participated in the international workshop about food examination laboratories (Management and Implementation) at Marmara Research Center in Istanbul, Turkey.
The workshop was organized by the Turkish International Cooperation and Development Agency (TIKA), the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), the Turkish Ministry of Industry and Trade, and the Turkish government.
As a representative of Palestine in the workshop, Dr. Abdel Qader presented a brief introduction about the reality of quality control, food industries, food examination laboratories and their types in Palestine. He also talked about the Chemical, Biological, and Drugs Analysis Center (CBDA) at An Najah National University and the services it provides for the Palestinian private and public sectors. Participated in the workshop were ten countries from Africa and Asia in addition to Turkey. Lectures were both theoretical and practical, and fell within the interest of food laboratories at Marmara Research Center in Istanbul, as well as those of the Ministry of Agriculture in Bursa in Turkey. At the end of the workshop, certificates were distributed among the participants.
