On Wednesday, 3^rd of February 2010, a celebration was organized at the Faculty of Nursing at the University for the inauguration of a midwifery laboratory. The celebration was held under the patronage of the University President, Prof. Rami Hamdallah, and was attended by a number of vice presidents, assistants, faculties' deans, directors of administrative departments, representatives of health departments in the Ministry of Health, as well as Mr. Na'eem Al-Khashashi, a representative of the lab's donor.

Dr. Adnan Sarhan, the Faculty of Nursing Dean, said that this generous donation that the Khashashi Family offered enabled the University to equip the midwifery lab with a number of essential devices and equipments needed to train the students of midwifery at the University. He also added that this advanced lab will enable the Faculty to hold a variety of specialized medical courses for the students.

Prof. Rami Hamdallah thanked the Khashashi Family for their generous donation that helped to provide the lab with the needed equipments. He also hoped that this lab will aid the students in their study and called upon other donors to offer their support to the University. On his part, Mr. Na'eem Al-Khashashi said that they chose An Najah because of the important role that it carries in serving the Palestinian people.

At the conclusion of the celebration, the participants walked inside the lab where Dr. Sarhan presented an explanation of the lab and the equipments it contains.
