An-Najah National University signed today an agreement with the Palestinian Ministry of Health to establish An-Najah's new Teaching Hospital in Nablus.  President Rami Hamdallah, Dr. Fathi Abu Moghli, Palestinian Minister of Health, and other senior staff of the two institutions attended the signing ceremony at President Hamdallah's office in the Old Campus.

The Teaching Hospital will provide educational services and therapeutic health to the community of the North of West Bank in particular and West Bank and Gaza in general, in accordance with excellent international quality standards.  The Hospital will also provide training services to An-Najah's medical students.

At the signing ceremony, President Hamdallah thanked the Minister of Health and his colleagues at the Ministry for their diligence and patience throughout the process to reach an agreement.  He said that we all can all take pride in the successful outcome today.   President Hamdallah added that cooperation between An-Najah and the Ministry of Health will bring great opportunities to health sector development in Palestine.

"Today we are launching an important partnership between An-Najah and Ministry of Health to establish the Teaching Hospital.  Collaborating with the Ministry of Health in medical education and research will indeed promote the health care sector in Palestine," President Hamdallah noted.

Dr. Abu Moghli said that today’s agreement is important as an example of excellent model of cooperation between an academic institution and the Palestinian government.  He added that the Palestinian government is full of hope for an even brighter future for health cooperation between the Palestinian Ministry of Health and An-Najah National University.
