Under the patronage of HE Prime Minister, Dr. Salam Fayyad, and with participation of H.E. Dr. Jamal Muhesin, Nablus’s Governor, Prof. Rami Hamdallah, University’s President, Mr. Faris Qaddorah, Head of Palestinian Prisoner’s Association, Mr. Adli Ya’aish, Nablus’s Mayor, Mrs. Sahar Akkob, Director of Education Directorate in Nablus Makram Daraghmeh, Head of Nablus, Head of Student Union Council and students.  This festival took place in the Late Hikamt AlMasri Theater in the University’s New Campus.

Prof. Rami Hamdallah, University’s President, in his opening remarks, thanked the Prime Minister for his interest in supporting education. He appreciated the efforts exerted by the Palestinian National Authority in supporting educational institutions in order to develop the work on Palestinian ministries.
Prof. Hamdallah also pointed out that An-Najah is the largest Palestinian university which works hard to provide education opportunities to develop the Palestinian people. He congratulated those who made it in Tawjihi this year inviting them to work hard through their higher education.Dr. Jamal Muhesin said that education is a major investmnet for the Palestinian community. He thanked the Ministry of Education and Higher Education for all the major efforts in supporting educational process in Palestine. Mr. Qaddorah Faris said that education is a struggle for the country which symbolizes a challenge calling for free education for everyone.
Dr. Salam Fayyad, on his turn, said that it is an honor for him to attend the festival thanking An-Najah for hosting it.  He added that Nablus is moving on and developing to take its place as the economic capital of Palestine.  Dr. Fayyad added that education is a national priority encouraging all students to continue their education to build the nation in all levels.  He invited all institutions to support education and meet the demands of the community. He said that the Palestinian National Authority will do its best to provide all that is needed for Universities to support higher education in the country.
