On Wednesday, October 20th, 2015, Dr. Hasan Ayoub, Lecturer in International and Comparative Policies at An-Najah participated in the Conference on Palestine and European Union Partnership for Peace and Development which was held at the Arab American University of Jenin.

Dr. Ayoub presented a worksheet titled "European Union Aid to the Palestinians: Enabling or Hindering Development" which tackled the aid provided to Palestine from a critical perspective of the political and neoliberal approach, and how its results are inconvenient in the Palestinian national liberation context.

Dr. Ayoub’s paper recommended that the European approach to providing aid changes to a legal-political dimension rather than a market philosophy. He also recommended giving priority to projects that help Palestinians rise into a self-determining state.
