On Monday, May 11th, 2015, the Faculty of Fine Arts at An-Najah participated in the international conference: "Educational Musical Learning Challenges". The conference was held at Al-Yarmouk University at Jordan and was over three days from May 11-13, 2015.

Mr. Khaleefeh Jadallah and Mr. Mahmoud Rashdan, Lecturers at the Department of Music at An-Najah introduced research papers on the local community's role in supporting and developing music education and teaching the musical solfege of the Palestinian folk songs in higher education.

Notes:

-          It is worth mentioning that the conference was also attended by H.E. Dr. Mohammad Thneibat, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Education at Jordan, Professor Abdullah Musa, President of Al-Yarmouk University and Professor Mohammed Al-Ghwanmeh, Chairman of the Conference's Preparatory Committee.

-          The conference was held in cooperation with the Arab Music Academy and the Arab Universities Association's Assembly of Conservatoires and Music Colleges.

-          The conference was attended by a group of Arab countries such as Jordan, Palestine, Egypt, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Sudan, Algeria and Libya.
