The Faculty of Pharmacy and the Poison Control and Drug Information Center (PCDIC) participated in the 26th Scientific Conference of Arab Pharmacists' Union held in Amman, Jordan from 10-12 April 2008.  Dr. Ansam Sawalha, director of PCDIC, said that the conference' discussions have focused on the issues of the Arab pharmaceutical industry and the wide-spread phenomenon of counterfeited medications.  The three-day conference also discussed the status of pharmacy as a profession in the Arab World, in addition to other health-related issues.
