An-Najah National University Ranked Top University in Palestine, Fifth in the Arab World by Webometrics Ranking System
Wednesday, February 2nd. Once again, An-Najah National University was ranked top university in Palestine, fifth in the Arab world according to Webometrics (Ranking Web of World Universities); a rank it has maintained since the last ranking on July 19th 2010. The University also progressed on the international level as it was ranked number 1,011 amongst 20,000 Higher Education Institutions globally after being ranked number 1160 according to the last year ranking.

An-Najah National University's President, Prof. Rami Hamdallah, expressed his gratitude for the hard work and dedication of the University staff. The University's high ranking in both Palestine and the region is reflective of the high caliber of scientific research that is currently being undertaken, through the institution and the affiliated Scientific Centers.
While the University is exceedingly proud of this accomplishment, we seek to continually endeavor to improve our educational capacity and the quality of our research for dissemination to the international community through the World Wide Web.
Webometrics ranking system was designed and implemented by Cybermetric Labs, a faction of the largest public research body in Spain. The ranking system, originally designed to promote scientific research, is used as an indication of global performance and overall visibility of universities according to academic profiles available online. This data is compiled, not only through online research publications and journals, but also through informal communication between academics.
