On Thursday, March 12, 2015The Department of Public Relations at An-Najah University held a workshop entitled as "The Reality of the Palestinian Photojournalist" as part of the extracurricular activities for the Photojournalism course. These activities are meant to expand the students’ knowledge in the practical aspect of the of the photojournalist profession.

Palestinian photojournalist, Osama Silwadi talked about what it means to be a photojournalist and the ethics of the photojournalist profession. He also spoke of the obstacles which face photojournalists in Palestine and the possible solutions to overcome them. Mr. Silwani also spoke further of his experience as a photojournalist.

Mr. Saeed Masri, the course’s instructor thanked Mr. Silwani for his participation and emphasized the significance of such workshops for enriching the students’ knowledge and experience.

-The workshop was attended by Dr. Abdel Karim Sarhan, Director of Media Center and Head of Public Relations Department, Mr. Alaa Badarneh, a Palestinian Photojournalist, Dr. Sameer Shinnar, Mrs. Yasmeen Shahrur, Acting Director of An-Najah University's Public Relations Department, Mr. Osama Abdullah, and Mr. Rasheed Lifdawi.
